Our First Herd Sire
We attended our first British White Association Show and Sale shortly after we were married. We just wanted to see what was available and what the Association was like. We fell in love with a herd sire. We didn't purchase him at the auction but wanted to talk to the breeder afterwards. He learned we were just staring out together and sold us "Hilltop's Gentle Ben." Ben was an excellent herd sire and we kept many of his heifers for replacements when he left our farm.
Our Current Herd Sire
After Ben's retirement, we searched for the perfect herd sire for our operation. We found him outside Riverton, Wyoming and made the long trek to bring him back to Kansas. Ratchet produced some refined heifers and powerful bull calves this spring. Several of his heifers are available to add to your program. His 2024 calf crop has produced powerful bulls and refined heifers for potential replacements.
